Club Statement

The Greenbank Committee wishes to take this opportunity to reinforce our stance that, as a club, we have a zero-tolerance attitude to any players, spectators or coaches that are seen to be in breach of FA Respect Guidelines. The Committee has been made aware of a few issues over recent weeks, which are not befitting of a club that is both FA Charter Standard and the reigning Club Of The Year, and are dealing with these issues immediately. We would like to remind all that breaching FA Respect Guidelines can result in the individual, team or even club being removed from the league.

We pride ourselves on being a family club, that offers football for all and take any issues relating to child welfare extremely seriously. As a club, we will not hesitate to remove an individual from our club, if they are found to be endangering player welfare, with full support of the league and FA. Should you have any concerns about the welfare of any minor, no matter how big or small, please highlight this immediately to our dedicated and trained welfare officers. They can be contacted on welfare@greenbankfc.co.uk

We have also had to approach numerous visitors to NK Sports Centre breaching the strict rules implied by NK Sports Centre. For clarity:

  • The NK Sports Centre site is strictly no smoking, this extends to electronic vaping.
  • No dogs are permitted on the field
  • All spectators must remain behind the respect lines. For those playing on the 3G, please remain on the footpath behind the railed fence
  • No alcohol is permitted

Please share these with fellow parents, players and visiting teams.

We appreciate your cooperation with these matters and trust that you respect the importance behind this statement. We wish to place on record our thanks to the majority of those connected with Greenbank JFC for their impeccable behaviour whilst travelling around the county and reassure such people that the minority, who wish to try and tarnish our image, shall be dealt with accordingly.

Kit Donation – Leslie Manser Primary School

Over the summer Greenbank gratefully received a junior football kit as a result of attaining our FA Charter Standard Club accreditation for the following season.

Following a recent Committee meeting, it was decided that we donate the football kit to a local school. Therefore, the community donation of the football kit took place this morning to Leslie Manser Primary School. It was gratefully received by head teacher Adrian Jones who thanked the club for their contribution.

We hope you have many successful games in your new kit.

Motorhead kit named in FourFourTwo’s top 50 kits…ever!!

FourFourTwo have, this afternoon, announced via their Twitter account (https://twitter.com/FourFourTwo) that our Motorhead sponsored kit has been named in their top 50 kits…ever! Manager at the time, Gary Weight, knew Lemmy going back a while and sent off a speculative email asking whether they’d be interested in sponsoring the team, to his amazement the band came back and said yes!

BBC’s article at the time can be found here – http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/6149606.stm

40 years in pictures…

As some of you are aware, life begins for Greenbank, as we turn the big 40 in the summer of 2018. To celebrate our 40th year we’re planning a few different events, details of which will be released in due course!

In preparation for this, if you have any Greenbank related photos (teams, individuals, players, kits, presentations etc.) we’d love it if you could send these to web.admin@greenbankfc.co.uk

We plan to put together a collage of all of your photos at an event. Please tag and share this across social media so we can obtain as many memories as possible.

With thanks of the Greenbank Committee.

New Season Approaches – Reminder to all

As the new season looms large, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to all of our parents, coaches, players, referees and other volunteers who help make us the successful club we are. Without you, the platform that we currently have for around 300 young players to play football, would not be possible.

We would also like to use this opportunity to remind all of some basic house rules.

  • Please remember that NK is a strictly No Smoking site. This rule extends to vape pens etc. Please respect this rule when on the site and remember it is in the interest of all. Anyone found smoking could be asked to leave the premises.
  • No dogs are permitted on the field. Again, anyone found with a dog on the field will be asked to leave. Please also be mindful that dogs should not be locked in cars either.
  • The field is an alcohol free zone.
  • Car Parking should be in the leisure centre car park only. The gates into the School Car Park nearest the changing rooms are open for emergency access only. Anyone found parking in the rear car park will be asked to move their vehicle.
  • Remember – all the coaches and referees are volunteers. All the players are learning, shouting at them from the sidelines will not help their learning.

We appreciate your cooperation with the above and wish all of our teams, along with visiting teams, a successful season.

On behalf of Greenbank FC Committee.

New players still required…
