40 years in pictures…

As some of you are aware, life begins for Greenbank, as we turn the big 40 in the summer of 2018. To celebrate our 40th year we’re planning a few different events, details of which will be released in due course!

In preparation for this, if you have any Greenbank related photos (teams, individuals, players, kits, presentations etc.) we’d love it if you could send these to web.admin@greenbankfc.co.uk

We plan to put together a collage of all of your photos at an event. Please tag and share this across social media so we can obtain as many memories as possible.

With thanks of the Greenbank Committee.

New Season Approaches – Reminder to all

As the new season looms large, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to all of our parents, coaches, players, referees and other volunteers who help make us the successful club we are. Without you, the platform that we currently have for around 300 young players to play football, would not be possible.

We would also like to use this opportunity to remind all of some basic house rules.

  • Please remember that NK is a strictly No Smoking site. This rule extends to vape pens etc. Please respect this rule when on the site and remember it is in the interest of all. Anyone found smoking could be asked to leave the premises.
  • No dogs are permitted on the field. Again, anyone found with a dog on the field will be asked to leave. Please also be mindful that dogs should not be locked in cars either.
  • The field is an alcohol free zone.
  • Car Parking should be in the leisure centre car park only. The gates into the School Car Park nearest the changing rooms are open for emergency access only. Anyone found parking in the rear car park will be asked to move their vehicle.
  • Remember – all the coaches and referees are volunteers. All the players are learning, shouting at them from the sidelines will not help their learning.

We appreciate your cooperation with the above and wish all of our teams, along with visiting teams, a successful season.

On behalf of Greenbank FC Committee.

New players still required…

Our Under 13 teams are still looking for new players for the upcoming season. This means you will be 13 or under by 31st August 2018.

Please contact Darren Sullivan on 07900 600007 or Keith Jenkins on 07983 505391 to register your interest. Darrens team train on Wednesdays, Keith’s on Tuesdays.

We have received lots of enquiries for various other age groups which will be distributed to relevant managers.

Club Statement

Greenbank FC committee have been made aware on 14/07/2017 of an incident which occurred at NK leisure Centre.

While making their way to the 3G pitch a young child was approached by a male and female in a red van and they shouted for him to get in the van as he crossed the car park.

As a club we advise that all children are accompanied to their training session and not left alone until the coach/manager has arrived.

Any players should also be escorted to the toilet and will not be allowed to leave their session until the manager can see a parent/guardian at the venue.

Greenbank FC take safeguarding very seriously and the committee has informed all our coaches and managers and have asked them to ensure these guidelines are followed.

We trust all of our players, parents and volunteers can support us with this matter for the safety of our young players.

Fair Play Award – Greenbank Under 9 Cobras

We are delighted to bring you the news that our Under 9 Cobra’s won the Fair Play Award at the recent Mid Lincs AGM. This was the first award of the night for the club, followed by the Club of the Year award.

The fair play award is awarded to the team who receive the highest sporting marks over the course of the season, so to have this awarded by the other teams in their league is a great honour.

A massive well done to Luke and his team on their achievement.
