Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!As the curtain falls on our 2025, I’d like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone that’s helped us experience another wonderful, and record year. With 46 teams entered into their respective leagues, we end the year with 609 registered players, across our youth and men’s teams. Anything of this size doesn’t run without commitment of lots of people, so I’d like to start by thanking The Committee and Clubhouse volunteers for their continued efforts, ensuring our football club runs with the effectiveness it does, whilst ensuring all our players are safe in the guidance of our coaches. Which leads me nicely onto our army of volunteer coaches and managers, that is way into the hundreds strong. You’re often the first ones there, the last to leave and no doubt you’ve had a few trials and tribulations along the way! Our players, the reason we’re all here! You’ve once again shown what it means to wear the Greenbank FC badge. The youngest at 4, and the oldest more like 40. The smiles, the laughter and the wins, to the losses, disappointment and maybe even a few tears, they are all learning experiences. And finally to our parents and guardians. Thank you for supporting from the sidelines, almost always with positivity. Thank you for travelling the length and breadth of Lincolnshire, and in some cases Notts, Derby and Leicester to boot. Without your unwavering commitment, we’d not be playing football every weekend. I’d like to end by wishing everyone associated with Greenbank Football Club a very happy holiday period and a wonderful start to 2026. Thank you, Adam Greenbank FC Chairman [...] Read more...
3G Pitch Update
3G Pitch UpdateThe Club are delighted to confirm that as of Monday 11th November we returned training to the 3G pitch at NK. Currently, 2/3rds of the 3G are usable, with no immediate plan to rectify the first pitch due to the substantial work required to repair it. It is now our priority to seek substantial investment into the facilities to fully upgrade them, and we are already making progress with this. For transparency, we would like to thank North Kesteven District Council, who have taken the hit on the repair bill thus far. A thanks to Tony, Gina and the team at NKDC for a quick resolution, that’s allowed us to return in some capacity. And finally, a thanks to Jake Park and Lincolnshire FA for their ongoing support, alongside the School and the Football Foundation who we are working with for a longer term solution. PRESS RELEASE – GREENBANK FC – 3G Pitch Closure at OneNK, North Hykeham
PRESS RELEASE – GREENBANK FC – 3G Pitch Closure at OneNK, North HykehamWe have today released a statement to local and regional media outlining the disappointment at the situation we are now facing, due to severe lack of investment in the local area’s leisure facilities. Full Statement can be found here. Greenbank FC – OneNK Pitch Closure 31102024 WS Enquires to enquiries@greenbankfc.co.uk [...] Read more...
OneNK 3G Pitch Closed
OneNK 3G Pitch ClosedWe have today been informed of a temporary closure of the 3G pitch at OneNK until further notice. This closure has been enforced by NKDC and the Management Company they employ to run the Leisure Centre, GLL. Clearly this is not ideal as it is currently the location 99% of our players are using for their training space, so therefore leaves 500+ children and young adults with nowhere to train. We apologise for the inconvenience, these are issues out of our control and will provide a further update as and when we have one. [...] Read more...
Greenbank Clubhouse – Helpers Needed!
Greenbank Clubhouse – Helpers Needed!Another plea for some support! The Club are in desperate need of some more volunteers to help serve tea, coffee and cold snacks in our Greenbank Clubhouse on a Sunday. Firstly, we’d like to start by thanking Gary, Lucy, Terry, Emma, Sian, Jackie and anyone else that has helped so far this season, without you, we wouldn’t have made it this far! With that said, it cannot be expected that Gary and Lucy can continue to give their time every week, to ensure we can open the facility each Sunday, with the others being generous with their support when they are able to do so. Our Membership base sits at over 500 players now, so I am hopeful this plea may be able to entice a few more helpers from the circa 1000 parents this may reach! With some upcoming holidays for our stalwarts, there is a serious risk that we will not be able to open the Clubhouse on a number of occasions between now and the end of April, which would be an unbelievable shame given the high praise we regularly receive from those using it, both home and away supporters. Beyond that, this facility offers some much needed income into the Football Club, that allows us to keep the costs down to all of our member families. If we have to shut this, the bi-product will have to mean that the takings are transferred to any additional fee increase, which is not what any of us wish for, particularly as the costs to hire the facilities we use face their own substantial increases. If you, your family members, or maybe some of those of school leaving age that want some experience with handling cash and customer service (references can be provided!), please email committee@greenbankfc.co.uk. It doesn’t matter how little or often, your support is much appreciated! We typically have someone managing the Clubhouse from 9am-3pm, with those opening up spending the first hour or so ensuring the urns are warm, card machines are charged and general stocking up, and those there at 3pm ensuring the facility is safe and secure! It would be ideal if volunteers would be willing to either do 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm, however, beggers can’t be choosers…so any support is gratefully received! The Club does have a Committee vacancy as role of Clubhouse Manager. This role is responsible for the general operations of the Clubhouse, including stock, cash and volunteer rotas. Please get in touch stating the role name in the email subject, if this is of interest to anybody who wishes to have a more formal role within the football club. Many thanks for your help and understanding, in advance! Adam Chairman [...] Read more...
Club Statement – Child Collection/Safeguarding
Club Statement – Child Collection/SafeguardingThe Club acknowledges multiple safeguarding incidents over the past few days within the Lincolnshire area, including one near a football pitch in Grimsby and reports of other concerning behaviour outside a local primary school over the last 24 hours. With this in mind, the Club is enforcing that all Under 11 players are collected from the 3G pitch, in person, by an adult known to the Coach. We strongly suggest all players are collected, regardless of age, however, if the arrangements are made for them to return home without a parent, please ensure they are in groups and not alone. A reminder, any safeguarding concerns or queries may be sent to welfare@greenbankfc.co.uk Please remain vigilant, whether at NK or attending away fixtures. Greenbank FC [...] Read more...
Club Launches Online Payment System
Club Launches Online Payment SystemWe are delighted to announce our partnership with a rapidly growing provider of automatic payment systems to the football community, TeamFeePay. The Club is always looking at ways to improve and this is one of the biggest changes we could make. In doing so, we will minimise financial risk, remove administration time from volunteers and allow access to further fundraising, so it seemed a sensible move. In addition, it will also allow the club to hold vital information around medical details, allergies and consents for Photography, as well as providing us the ability to communicate directly to our membership, something we haven’t had the facility to do previously. The TeamFeePay team are full of individuals just like us, who have experienced the trials and tribulations of trying to round up club fees, and have come up with a great platform to help! You can have a look for yourself here: TeamFeePay Video This partnership will also provide an opportunity for some extra Club Shop items, digital fundraising and support around the access the club has to external funding! We realise there may be some questions around how this process will work. In the first instance we would ask you to speak to the relevant team managers. All players are required to register prior to the 1st August to minimise disruption. Your club managers will have a link to share for you to register to your team.   [...] Read more...

Please see attached document with all the details of the winners of all 57(!) prizes on offer. The club would like to thank everyone that donated prizes, sold and bought raffle tickets and to those that helped draw the raffle in the week before Christmas. These draws play a pivotal role in Greenbank being able to offer football to well over 425 children and young adults, from age 4-17, and the associated costs involved are by a long way one of, if not, the cheapest you will find in the local area. 2022 Xmas Draw Winners All prizes are with the Team Manager/Representative that attended the Draw. Seasons Greetings to all of our family members and a prosperous 2023. [...] Read more...
Club Update – Committee Vacancies
Club Update – Committee VacanciesThe Club is welcoming expressions of interest to join the committee at the end of the current season, across various roles, specifically that of Treasurer and Clubhouse Manager, but welcome other interest, too. After 24 years of service to the Club, over half of which as Treasurer, our current incumbent, Gary, has decided to step down at the end of the season. Gary joined the club in the late 1990’s when coaching his son, and now Club Chairman, Adam’s, team and has continued in a committee capacity with no other club involvement for over 13 years. Gary has seen the club grow by over double and has been the rock of which our more recent stability has been built upon, something that we will be forever grateful for. Naturally, this leaves a large void in the day-to-day running of the Football Club, and we have therefore decided to split the Treasurer role and the work Gary does with the Clubhouse in to two separate volunteer roles. Should you wish to know more about either role, please email committee@greenbankfc.co.uk and we can share a more detailed description of what is involved. We are open to more than one individual filling these roles, to split the responsibilities. Without a Treasure the Club cannot affiliate with the FA, so it is vital that we are able to find individuals that are willing to support the future of the Football Club and ask for anyone that is interest to approach the committee before 19th December 2022. Whilst we are looking for these roles to be filled for next season, we would like there to be a period of transition whilst Gary is in post. All of us at the Football Club wish Gary well as he looks to enjoy his recently acquired retired status, with his Wife, Jo. On Behalf of The Committee. [...] Read more...
