Club Statement

Greenbank Junior Football Club wish to reinforce their stance with regards to racism and specifically relating to an ongoing case which occurred on 20th January 2019.

We, Greenbank FC, have featured in an interview (see below) on Sky Sports News today, Tuesday 2nd April 2019, relating to the above case. The purpose of the interview was to highlight the issues we have faced in having this serious issue investigated, those responsible held accountable and the incident brought to a conclusion.

NK 3G Closure 4th-6th March

Please be aware that the 3G pitch at One NK shall be closed Monday 4th March, until Wednesday 6th March due to essential repair works to the playing surface. Your team managers are aware, and will communicate with you individually if they plan to make other arrangements. The facility should be back in use on Thursday 7th March, barring any unforeseen delays in the repairs.

We appreciate this isn’t ideal, but the work is essential to prevent the surface becoming unplayable.

Thanks for your continued support.

Notice to Parents, Guardians and other Spectators

We have recently received glowing feedback from various quarters about the conduct of all of our players. This something we are very proud of.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the feedback received about the pitch side behaviour. It’s very disappointing to receive numerous complaints about the way parents, guardians and other spectators are conducting themselves on our sidelines. On top of these complaints, will come financial penalty. We will seek to pass this financial penalty on to anyone responsible for bringing this great club in to disrepute.

Perhaps even more disappointing is that this behaviour can, and will, result in points deductions for any teams found guilty (If the team is of an age where there is competitive football)

We do wish to stress that, as usual, this is a minority and we will not let the minority tarnish our name.

Reminder:

  • NK is a no smoking OR vaping zone
  • No dogs are allowed
  • Referees are volunteers
  • Coaches are volunteers
  • Players are young – they’ll make mistakes
  • Shouting, abuse or otherwise, is not tolerated in any capacity

We’re supporting World Mental Health day.

We’re here to help, particularly keeping a close eye on our young players. Mental health can affect them too.

Remember, it’s okay, to not be okay.

You can speak to anyone within the club, but our welfare officers are there to help too! welfare@greenbankfc.co.uk
