As we near the end of March, we also come towards the final weeks of the season. We wish all of our teams the very best in what is sure to be a busy month of rescheduled fixtures! In an attempt to keep you up to speed with all things Greenbank, we’ll be bringing you a monthly update with club news, dates for the diary and any other important information.
40th Birthday Celebrations
All of our team managers have now been briefed that tickets are available to purchase through them, for our 40th Birthday celebrations, on the 9th June at the Bentley Hotel. Anyone not able to purchase tickets via their team manager, please email email@example.com for assistance. Tickets are priced at £40 per person. We will be in a position to announce further entertainment details in due course.
Annual Family Fun Day
Preparations are ramping up for our tournament day on the 3rd June at NK.
We have potentially limited parking options compared to previous years, so are running a morning and afternoon session to keep total numbers on site to a minimum. Please see latest Facebook post with regards to spaces remaining for teams.
We are once again delighted that we are able to host our presentation evening at The Showroom on Tritton Road, on Saturday 19th May (happens to coincide with a Cup Final and apparently a wedding?). A great facility offering entertainment for the players and an equally nice space for end of season presentations. Specific times will be posted to our website shortly.
The Committee meet on a monthly basis and are currently discussing plans to enhance the club. We are looking into ways we can improve facilities and equipment amongst other things. We are also very close to announcing some exciting news involving our kit. Watch this space.
Due to the adverse weather conditions over the winter months, the Mid Lincs have granted a season extension until April 29th 2018. This situation is ongoing and is being closely monitored.
Charter Standard Certification
We are once again working towards submitting our Charter Standard Club application. Simon, the club secretary, is working closely with our Welfare Officers, Jamie and Rachel, to ensure all of our coaches are, as a minimum, FA Level 1 Qualified, First Aid trained, Safeguarding Workshops attended and CRC checked. As you can imagine, with 30+ teams, this exercise is something that takes a considerable amount of time to complete, so our thanks especially go to those 3. Just on that note, we currently have 8 coaches attending their Level 1 Course, that we have put on in house, with the help of our friends at Collingham FC, who we are also very appreciative of for their continued support.
